CORONA, Calif., Aug. 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- AVT, Inc., (formerly Automated Vending Technologies) (Ticker: AVTCD.PK) (www.autoretail.com), was recently the subject of an in depth research report and profile by Francis Gaskins, editor of IPODesktop.com. Company founder Shannon Illingworth and Chief Marketing Officer Mike Kiser were also interviewed.

The report stated that AVT has been growing steadily and is positioned for explosive growth in the near future as more pilot programs are transitioned into production. The research also noted that AVT's growth validates the company's core competencies and leadership in the business of automated, self-service retail solutions.

AVT spent years developing cutting-edge, proprietary technologies that were put into dozens of pilot programs. Many of those pilot programs are now entering the production phase, which is one driving force behind AVT's impressive sales growth, according to the analysis. The report stated that AVT has "20-30 successful pilot and production programs with blue chip retailers," which is dramatically increasing production and profits.

Furthermore, the company is poised for long-term growth due to their competitive advantages, including, "Intellectual property based on five pending patents enhances AVT's ability to deliver high tech services such as acceptance of credit and debit cards for cashless payment, dynamic advertising, remote tracking, and inventory management."

Growth in international markets also showed substantial gains, according to the report.

Sheets Energy Strips Maker Pilots Vending Program

NEW YORK CITY -- Chews, balls and gum, to mention just a few formats in the energy food category, tend to find their way to vending machines. Not surprisingly, a new company called Pure Brands LLC is piloting its inaugural product in dedicated, branded vending machines manufactured by Corona, CA-based AVT Inc., which specializes in enabling new vending opportunities.

Sheets Energy Strips, Pure Brands' paper-thin, individually wrapped strips, dissolve instantly when placed on the tongue and are formulated to deliver fast-acting energy. Offered in multiple flavors, Sheets strips contain no calories, carbohydrates or sugar.

For the vending pilot, Sheets-branded automated kiosks will be placed in high-profile areas across the country including malls, office buildings, stadiums and arenas in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Florida. They will be merchandised with 4-packs and 10-packs of the energy strips, with $3 and $6 vend prices, respectively. Sheets-branded hats and t-shirts, both priced at $20, will also be sold through the machines. Two plasma screens embedded in the kiosks will promote the products and educate consumers about Sheets’ energy-enhancing benefits.

"We are always looking for unique ways to break through the clutter of traditional marketing campaigns," said Pure Brands chief executive Warren Struhl. "Automated kiosks are the perfect way for us to increase awareness of the brand."

Sheets Energy Strips were launched in June and are available nationwide. Pure Brands’ founding partners include basketball legends LeBron James and Amar’e Stoudemire and multiplatinum recording artists Drake and Pitbull. The celebrities are prominently featured in a marketing campaign coinciding with the Sheets launch.

Last month, Pure Brands announced a partnership with Budget Rent a Car of Atlanta and Wrap Media Group that will wrap rental vehicles with Sheets branding. For the first time ever, renters will be able to get a significant discount when driving a sponsored rental vehicle. The cars can be booked online until November, and will bring multiple other branding opportunities such as the ability to add short codes for text-messaging campaigns and coupons or product samples that will be placed in the vehicles as well as at the rental facilities.

Pure Brands says its future innovations will be devoted to wellness-related products that "use wearable, topical, transdermal and oral nutritional-delivery systems."

iPod Vending Machines, What Are They All About?

Candy, soda, and chips might be the items you’re used to seeing in a vending kiosk. But the age of unhealthy snacks as leading vending machine products may soon be a thing of the past—automated retail is facing a revolution, and in the front line is the iPod vending machine.

  • Instant Shopping

Like online shopping, the automated retailing system allows customers to browse through a large inventory of over 100 Apple products without having to field sales tactics from an employee. Unlike online shopping, though, customers get their new products instantly. This vending machine gives customers all the perks of shopping online, and then some.

  • Convenient Locations

Most often found in airports and malls, the iPod custom vending machine gives Apple fans the opportunity to buy these electronics when most needed. When travelers are stuck at the airport due to long delays and layovers, these self-service kiosks are the perfect solution, providing easy entertainment. Customers can purchase an iPod when it’s most convenient, even outside of a retail store’s normal business hours.

  • Great Choices

An iPod vending machine gives customers the opportunity to find the exact iPod they want. Whether looking for an iPod Shuffle, Nano, Classic, or Touch, customers can find the style, color, capacity, and size they want right inside the vending kiosk. Simply swipe a credit card and receive a beautiful new iPod. The iPod vending machines are also stocked with useful accessories like headphones, chargers, and gift cards.

If you want to join the vending machine revolution, then look no further than AVT Inc.

AVT Given Positive Analyst Coverage

Press Release Source: AVT, Inc. On Tuesday June 14, 2011, 1:55 pm EDT

CORONA, Calif., June 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- AVT, Inc. (Ticker: OTCQB:AVTC) (www.autoretail.com), has received analyst coverage from IPODesktop.com, one of the markets leading research, report and profiling services.

The report stated that AVT has a market capitalization that could exceed $40 million, or over $10 a share. This impressive potential is due in part to continuous sales growth fueled by 20-30 successful pilot and production programs with blue chip retailers.

Future production orders are especially positive, according to the report, "AVTC has another 20 or so strategic partners/customers who have either completed or nearly competed their pilot projects with AVT, which will result in significant on-going revenues and increases in system production levels over the next 18 months."

Analysis further suggests that AVT is the high tech leader in the industry, and has created very high barriers to entry for its competition by offering technology solutions at up to 50% less than the best known competitor.

The research also pointed out that AVT was able to "generate internal, organic growth of 154% from 2007 to 2010, during times of severe economic stress and uncertainty," and that the company "continued to invest in developing successful pilot programs which are expected to transition into full-fledged ongoing production programs. During this major R&D and pilot program development, AVT has remained profitable and in a stable growth state."
